Let the Good Times Roll, Cher !

It was an incredible, exciting weekend in Cajun Country! Three Mardi Gras parades and the SAINTS WINNING THE SUPERBOWL!!!!!!! WOOOOO- HOOOOO! GEAUX SAINTS!!! WE DAT!, CHER!
And this is the black and gold, king ake (filled with chocolate Bavarian cream) that I served at my Superbowl party. Cest bon, cher! I have lots of pics to share, but just to give you an idea of the electricity in the air, here is a little clip of one of the many Saints parties, that pretty much sums up how everyone in Louisiana is feeling right about now! And this victory party is just beginning and will be going on until midnight on Mardi Gras night! Wish you all were here! Merci beaucoup for stopping by and stay tuned!
Lassiez les bon temps rouler!!!

Well done the Saints! Also, England won the opening game of the Six Nations rugby against Wales on Saturday. English rugby (like your football but no helmets or padding) competition between the 6 nations of England, Scotland Wales, Ireland, France and Italy. Looking forward to England winning the series, but still a few games to go.

What a great game and so exciting for the folks down South, particularly the city of New Orleans.

Congratulations girlfriend!!!!! Casa Hice was cheering LOULDY for the New Orleans Saints in the Super Bowl. We also sent out some powerful New Orleans JuJu by making your delicious Mama's Shrimp Stew recipe! Larry insisted that we add some Andouille and serve it over cheese grits {you can take the boy out of the country, but you can NOT take the country out of the boy}, and it was awesome. Better than awesome. I was even able to find Tony Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning here at Publix!

Anyway - thanks so much for the recipe, chica. Casa Hice is putting this recipe in the vault for safe keeping. I plan to make it often.

Long live the Saints!!!!

I love you!!

It was great fun wasn't it!!!

And since I am not from Cajun country, I found plenty of people to bet with... up a hundred dollars and a couple jars of sauce!!!

Still, would have liked to have been in New orleans last night

Just so you know, my dear, this old Yankee, who is normally a devout Redskin fan, with the Steelers being in a close race there -was rooting all along for the Saints and they did come through -marching in, big time! Good game, great win!

Go Saints! The recipe you gave for crawfish dip was incredible. Glad I made a a lot as I'm bringing it to bunco tonight. Had to force myself not to scoop it all up with my fingers.

How exciting that the Saints won. I watch the parade on CNN. I still tear up when they show the footage of Brees holding his son and crying just a little bit.

BTW, since I've been in NYC, everyone tells me congrats about the the Saints - they love them up here!
