My BFF of 32 years is Creole and she's taken me around New Orleans and beyond (before Katrina). I LOVE Cajun music and bought CD's while I was there. I love the food, too. I'll be browsing through your recipes to see if I can mimic some of your local flavor, which I think is fantastic!Foodiewifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00071730074240565916noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5849317861159929264.post-54298272866987939842009-08-22T08:58:01.195-05:002009-08-22T08:58:01.195-05:00What a great blog! Look out for a Brit in an Ambulance uniform (the ladies like me in a uniform, you know) and we shall twist the light fantastic. I will be really stuck as to which green eye is the most beautiful, the left or the right - I shall gaze into each one alternatively with a sigh whilst we eat shrimps by candlelight between dances ~ EddieEddie Bluelightshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18069024660422117718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5849317861159929264.post-53683475418434761792009-08-21T08:09:42.329-05:002009-08-21T08:09:42.329-05:00What a great post! The problem is I love to dance and my husband does not. It looks like you dance in couple so it would be hard to dance alone. When I went to Dakar, Sénégal and places where they dance, you could dance alone, so that made it easy! Marguerite you did not say what Feu Follet means – in France anyway a “feu follet” was a small dancing short flame seen in the cemeteries. Formerly in cemetery, usually in marshes, when animal matters broke up some phosphorus was released and this was flammable. It was like a will-o-the-wisps and some people thought these little flames, called feu follet, came from supernatural forces.Vagabondehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10774109692564954568noreply@blogger.com
