That strawberry daiquiri looks wonderful.
Unfortunately, brownies give me heartburn.

As soon as I post this I'm driving thru the snow to get what I need for the brownies!
Just want you to know I made Mama's Shrimp Stew Fri night and it was delicious! My husband was in ecstasy. It was also simple and fun (except for the 10 minutes stirring the roux)!
Chocolate, praline icing, pecans. Who could possibly ask for anything more scrumptious all rolled into one package?
I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's day... Hope you hoisted at least one of those daiquiris
ellen- Thanks, I will have one in your honor! Cheers! Skip the brownies and have two daiquiris!
Joanne- I wish there were a way, too! I would send all of you, a double batch and some Community coffee to go with it! Thanks, same to you, cher!

Cal. Girl- So glad you and your hubby liked the stew! Thanks so much for trying it! The roux is a bit laborious, but so worth it!

Marguerite,
I'm so happy to find your blog. I love Cajun and Creole Cooking. Love to learn about the Culture also. I made your Chocolate Praline Brownies and had someone say they were the best brownies that he ever put in his mouth! They were a big hit at our Zydeco Dance get together here in Florida. I have two questions: 1. I am looking for a dark Sausage and Shrimp Jambalaya (Cajun, no tomatoes). Do you happen to have a recipe? 2. I would like to know the meaning of Cest bon, cher!
