Bayou Blues
It's been a hot and stressful week, here in Cajun country, and I'm chillin' out tonight with some good ole bayou blues. Here's a little clip of one of my favorite blues bands, gettin down at the Simi Cajun Blues Festival. Grab yourself a cold one, cher, and crank it up for this "hotter than hot" band. Cheers!
Hope ya'll are having a great weekend! Merci beaucoup for stopping by!

good golly - this has to be the best peach pie yet, can't stop looking at it - I don't think I would add ice cream to this one, oh now, who am I kidding....
I haven't been trying your recipes of late because my husband is on a strict diet, a la celiac style which means no simple carbs, no gluten, etc. He's being treated for lyme disease and this is part of the process and boy does it limit one's cooking choices.
Peach season now and this looks unbelievable. sigh
Looks like comfort food to me! Thanks for sharing.
Oh well now I'm going to have to go buy peaches and all the Georgia peaches are gone. Only california peaches now and they are unreliable. Just as likely to be mealy as sweet.
Thanks for the boogie.
Would it be unlady like to just put my face in that pie and
eat? :-)
Can't wait to try it!

Peaches and Cream Pie and an ice cream . . . . and a cool beer. Well you don't have to ask me twice - consider it done LOL. And some hot music as well - you do spoil us - all I want now is to find a nice Cajun lady to teach me the dance steps LOL. Cheers cher, Eddie
That is one nice lookin' pie! Yum. Still enjoying your music videos too. Thanks so much!
P.S. No wonder this is one of your favorite bands! They are great.
OMG! Diet be damned, this looks to good to pass up - I'll take pie over cake any day - looooved the clip....thanks, cher!
Oh yes!
Just what the doctor ordered.
This looks wonderful. I've never added cream to a peach pie before. I bet it tasted amazing.
That looks delicious Marguerite!
Hi I found you on Monday Mingle. Everything looks great. I can't wait to try out some of the recipes.
Marguerite, that looks so good and I just so happen to have some peaches that are ripe and ready to use..this must be fate!! thanks for such a beautiful blog...
For me, it is the cream that makes this so special. A plain peach pie is already delicious. This has to be over the moon.

Hi Marguerite, This looks pretty easy to make so I want to try it after the heat breaks. This could be a main course for me! In the meantime, maybe a peaches-n-cream snowball with vanilla ice cream topping. it's lovely and appetizing. thanks, sp

That pie looks delicious! I'd love to have a slice of it. My boss is spending Labor Day weekend in New Orleans. We're all so jealous! He's threatening to send photos of himself eating at all the famous restaurants! Thanks for sharing on Sweet Indulgences Sunday.
What a fabulous looking pie. Peaches are so delicious!
Nice fresh peaches are hard to come by here so we normally use canned peaches. Your pie looks very delicious!
How in creation did I miss this incredible pie! Job well done!!!
As always, delicious. Perfect for these sweltering summer days.
Velva
That pie looks divine. Might have to try that. Your blueberry bread pudding was a big hit with the family. This probably will be too.
Your peaches and cream pie with a dollop of ice cream is what I would call summertime comfort food.
I hope you will consider joining my first Potpourri Friday party next week! Link-up will begin on Thursday afternoon!
Have a great weekend!
oh...goodness!! will have to make this for The Hubs..he'll love it!!
