It was a perfect beach day in Ocean City, yesterday. Hot ( 88 degrees), hazy, and humid with a light north breeze, to take the edge off. The beach was packed to the gills with everyone wanting to "go down the ocean", one more time for a bit of summer fun. Holiday weekends bring in 200,000 fun seekers or more.

The umbrella stands could hardly keep up with the crowds
and certain parts of the 10 mile beach were very crowded.
After a great day on the beach, it was time for happy hour at Seacret's
Nightclub on 49th Street and the bay. Lawdy be, check this scene out!
Well, the rowdy crowd there was getting very happy, and it was like
Downtown Alive, except on the water, with a partying crowd to boot!
These Marylanders are party animals and are a close match for the Cajuns. If
only they could dance! Let the good times roll, cher & have a Happy Labor Day!

Gosh, that looks like so much fun. Everyone trying to get that last swim in of the year!! I love the umbrella photo.
Look at those crowds!
Nice to see ya, Gal Pal.
Aloha-

Great pictures of one of the best beaches on the East coast.I was on the beach that day and at Seacrets! How did I miss you in that crowd of 250,000 people?
whoo whoo
What a great place for a vacation! I love reading about your wonderful adventures,
Laura
I don’t think I have been on a beach with so many people, that must have been something. I have been getting ready for our 11 days in Canada coming up in 4 days but I don’t think it will be that warm in the Maritimes or that crowded either, but it should be fun. I have been inside most of the week-end making fig jam before the figs turn bad and also watching our local town heroin winning the US open – a 17 year old from Georgia.
Unbelievable! Such a crowd! How do you spot a friend among all these people??
Kat- This place is incredible. They have another area that plays Classic Rock, for the boomers, but I didn't get a pic, because my camera's battery went out.
Aloha, Cloudia!- It's only this crowded on holidays. But, this was the most crowded that I have ever seen it. Isn't the beach in Wakiki crowded?
Robert- Wow, I looked for you, too, but unless you were texting, there was about a snowball's chance......., that you could find someone. It was great to see you!!
Year on the Grill- I'll second that! Bet you can't wait to go to N'awlins!
Laura- Thanks, cher! I lived there for 20 years and still have a house there! It's a very fun town!
Vagabonde- The beach is ten miles long, so there are areas that aren't so crowded. Fig jam. yummm! Wish that you could send me some. Have a wonderful trip, cher!
Keats- Welcome to Cajun Country! Unless you luck out, you don't. Thanks so much for visiting!
